Elvis Presley fans mark singer's 75th birthday

Presley, who died in August 1977 aged 42, is one of the top earning dead celebrities and his estate made $55 million in 2009. In Australia, hundreds of Elvis impersonators gathered at a train station in Sydney wearing different interpretations of the singer's trademark tight white rhinestone suit and flares. Meanwhile thousands of fans have made the annual pilgrimage to Graceland - Presley's home in Memphis. Official events to mark his birthday include a cake-cutting ceremony, a new exhibition of his costumes, movie marathons, a Facebook application and a Jailhouse Rock Barbie. There will also be a cruise for fans later in the year.
