GarageBand.com to launch iLike

GarageBand.com, the leading independent music community, has announced it has secured its first round of institutional investment, a $2.5 million dollar equity financing from an all-star roster of strategic investors including Vinod Khosla and Bob Pittman. Eric Clapton's scheduled concert on Red Square next week has been canceled after Russian authorities abruptly withdrew their permission, the guitarist's publicist said. Syd Barrett, founder of Pink Floyd, dies

Syd Barrett, the troubled Pink Floyd co-founder who spent his last years in reclusive anonymity, has died, the band said Tuesday. He was 60. A spokeswoman for the band said Barrett died several days ago, but she did not disclose the cause of death. Barrett had suffered from diabetes for years
