Tupac Shakur Reinterpreted

13 September 2006 is the tenth anniversary of the death of rapper Tupac Amaru Shakur. Today, he is still a rap phenomenon who to date has sold 35 million albums. After his murder, Tupac, and later rap rival The Notorious BIG, would become the Lennon and Cobain of hip-hop, tragically lost to a generation of fans they will never meet, but immortalised in death. The NFT host a series of screenings and educational events, welcoming Tupac's first manager, Leila Steinberg, to the NFT to explore his cultural and sub-cultural roles and the impact his posthumous influence has on a generation of fans.
